Alternative Energy Development
- Solar panels were installed on the four stair towers of the Peter J. Sharpe Parking Garage that feed the two electrical vehicle-charging stations of the second floor.
- Solar panels are installed in the Edible Academy on the South Pavilion where visiting children can learn about alternative energy.
- The Garden was also awarded a project from the NYC/IDEA program to install solar fabric tents at the base of the Tulip Tree Allée that provide temporary shelter for the Farmers Market and seating for casual dining.
